Who is responsible for your information?
Blissful Births is responsible for the personal information collected through this website. If you have a privacy question or want to exercise a data protection right, email hello@blissfulbirths.co.
What information is collected?
When you send an enquiry, Blissful Births collects your enquiry type, name, email address, location, message, and any optional phone number you provide. Your message may include pregnancy, birth, postpartum, or other health-related details if you choose to share them.
The website also uses security and analytics tools that may process technical information such as your IP address, browser, device, referring page, and how you use the site.
Why is it used?
Your information is used to read and respond to your enquiry, understand the support you are looking for, discuss a possible introduction where relevant, keep the website secure, and understand how the website is used.
General enquiry information is processed because it is necessary to respond to a request you have made and for the legitimate interest of operating the service. Any health-related information you choose to include is processed with the explicit consent you give when submitting the form. You can withdraw that consent by emailing Blissful Births, although this will not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
Who receives it?
Cloudflare hosts and protects the website, Twilio Email delivers form messages by email, Google Analytics provides website analytics, and Google Workspace receives email sent to Blissful Births. These providers process information only as needed to supply their services.
Your enquiry is not shared with a doula or other potential contact without speaking with you first, unless disclosure is required by law or needed to protect someone’s rights or safety.
International processing
Some service providers may process information outside Guernsey. Blissful Births relies on the provider’s contractual and organisational safeguards where an international transfer requires protection.
How long is it kept?
Enquiry information is kept only for as long as reasonably needed to respond, manage any resulting relationship, meet legal or record-keeping duties, and resolve disputes. Security and analytics information is kept according to the settings and retention periods of the relevant provider.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to information, access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection, portability, and protection from solely automated decisions. Blissful Births does not use the contact form to make solely automated decisions about you.
To make a request, email hello@blissfulbirths.co. You can also raise a concern with the Office of the Data Protection Authority in Guernsey.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the website, enquiry process, or legal requirements change. The latest version and update date will remain on this page.
